Tim Zerillo received a filing for a client yesterday in Biddeford District Court on a charge of Assault, Obstructing Government Administration and Refusing to Submit to Arrest. In our view, the entire episode leading to our Client's arrest (coincidentally, our Client is a retired Massachusetts Police officer) related to the use of poorly trained Reserve Officers in Old Orchard Beach. This is, unfortunately, a phenomenon that seems to occur every Summer in York County, often in Old Orchard Beach and Ogunquit, Maine.
After a thorough defense investigation, the State Prosecutor agreed to file the case (a filing is simply a delayed dismissal, without an admission of guilt by the defendant). Congratulations to our Client!
